My Experience With Amazon Canada Flagging Products as “DRUG, Natural Health Product”
So, I recently had a product flagged on Amazon Canada as a “DRUG, Natural Health Product” and let me tell you, it was a pain in the you-know-what to deal with. I sell natural supplements and this particular product was flagged even though it didn’t contain any illegal substances or prescription drugs.
Trying to Figure Out Why
I reached out to Amazon Seller Support to try and figure out why my product was flagged. They mentioned that it could possibly be due to the wording in my product description or the claims I was making about the product’s benefits. I had to go back and edit my listing to remove any mention of “curing” or “treating” any specific medical conditions.
The Inconvenient Process
Dealing with getting the flag removed was a long and tedious process. I had to provide documentation, certificates, and even go through a review process with Amazon. It felt like I was jumping through hoops just to get my product back up for sale. And in the meantime, my sales were suffering, which was definitely frustrating.
Advice for Dealing With This Issue
If you find yourself in a similar situation, my advice would be to stay calm and patient. Contact Amazon Seller Support and try to get to the bottom of why your product was flagged. Make sure to carefully review your product listing and remove any wording that could be triggering the flag. And most importantly, have all your documentation and certificates handy to prove the legitimacy of your product. It’s a hassle, but it’s unfortunately just part of the game when selling on Amazon Canada.
